Those men arted men and those woman arted woman. The fruits of their fantasies: those paintings and operas, hymns and sculptures, dramas and motion pictures - they all have one thing in common. They are fashioned by gay people from the sad country of Russia.

Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Sergei Eisenstein, Rudolf Nureyev, Vaslav Nijinsky - these are just a few names of Russian gays whose contributions to the world culture made them famous and respected. Who were those who dared to express themselves, to risk revealing their special gifts in Russia, where initiative used to be severely punished? What they had to go through here, in the tough country of Russia, to grant us the joy of being comforted with the true warmth of their talent?

Rejoicing and mourning, they did their best. Not being afraid to always tell the truth, to be got down, to be brought low, they created the true values. Now we are humble admirers of their genius.
