International Masterclass for Conductors

For conductors, wanting to improve their technique and podium knowledge working with a prestigious Russian symphonyorchestra and renowned teachers. A maximum of 18 participating conductors. Total podium time with orchestra minimum 2,5 hours for each conductor. The orchestra sessions are preceded by classes with two pianos and teacher. The orchestra sessions and the Final Concert are video taped.
All conductors of the Master Class are invited to participate in the Final Concert. One or two participants will be selected to conduct a public Prize concert in the Hermitage theatre. The conducting language of choice will be English or Russian.
Participation fees: US Dollars 1800, for repeat students US Dollars 1500. Fees include tuition, podium time, piano classes, a certificate of participation, video taped rehersals and critique sessions. Accomodation (single or double room, shower plus breakfast) is provided in a mid-range centrally located hotel at discount rates: The Russ Hotel, appr. 40 USD per night. Special prices arranged for local transports and sight seeing tours of the city and surrounding areas.
