Calendar - the keeper of time

The exhibition covers 25 centuries of existence of the calendar starting from the 5th century B.C. to the 20th century A.D. and features 300 objects. They include church and civil caledars demonstrating different systems of chronology and calendar cycles of the Antiquity, the Orient, Europe (Gregorian and Julian calendars, Chinese calendar Lubo, Gothic calendar, Astrological calendar of Nostradamus, the first Russian civil calendar of Bruce). Besides there will be some curious exhibits at the exhibition: calendars on a walking-stick, on weapon, on amphoras and other pieces of applied art, and also on an astrolabe.
