Horst Janssen
Drawings and graphics from the collection of Tete Boettger
The exhibition of the works of Horst Janssen (1929-1995), one of the most significant graphic artists and engravers of Germany of the late 20th century, features 108 items of this not widely known to the Russian public master. The only exhibition of his works in Leningrad was held around 30 years ago in the Manege Exhibition Centre. The author became very famous at that time but in Russia the exhibition did not have a press. In 1985 a great number of his works were displayed in Moscow and Novosibirsk. The current exhibition originally displayed in Moscow in the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts is now in Saint Petersburg.
