Dressing table with a mirror "psyche" - a moving morror in a frame on hinges - and table top of blue glass was produced in the workshop of a famous French furniture-maker Martin-Gillaume Bienner to the design of Charles Persier. The table was executed to the wedding of Grand Duke Nikolai Pavlovich (future Emperor Nicholas I) in 1817.
Originally it was kept in the Anichkov Palace in St Petersburg, than in summer palace in Ropsha. In the Hermitage since the second half of 19th century.
