Jackson Pollock
From the Collection of the Museum of Modern Art (New York, USA)
The exhibition devoted to the creative activities of the famous artist of the Modern Movement of the 20th century Jackson Pollock was organized within the framework of the Programme "The Hall of the MoMA in the Hermitage". One of the last works of the master the "White Light" (1954), eigth works in silk screen technique and one lithograph are represented to the public.
The exhibition is prepared by the State Hermitage Museum together with the International Counsil of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 1999 the first exhibition within the framework of the Programme "The Hall of the MoMA in the Hermitage" acquainting the public with different trends in the art of the 20th century was held in the Hermitage. It was called "Abstract Expressionism. Three Paintings from the Collection of the Museum of Modern Art (New York)"
